This Highland Adventure is for those stag and hen parties for whom a Scotland is best seen through a white water torrent. Let us guide you from genteel Glasgow to grade 4 rivers, golden eagles and back all in two days and nights.
Day
1 Friday
You will head up North from Glasgow taking in such exciting sights as the
Forth Bridges, an evening sighting of Grangemouth Refinery against the setting
sun, and the foothills of the Ochils and the Highlands which is where your
adventure really starts. You will stay in the Perthshire area. On arrival
at your accommodation, bunks are allocated, friends made, food eaten, drinks
drunk and great first evening is enjoyed by all.
Day 2 Saturday
It's
any early start, after breakfast we will head down to the banks of the River
to begin the white water adventure. This is all about team work and getting
wet. You will head down some of the fastest waters in the UK. Your experienced
guides will help navigate your raft down the 6 to 10 miles of white water
dealing rapids that range from grade 2 to grade 5 (grade6) being the highest.
You don?t need previous experience to enjoy this as the guides show you what
to do, when to do it and keep you safe (safeish)
Once you have survived this challenge
then it?s a quick stop to grab lunch and then on to Canyoning. Canyoning consists
of swimming through rapids, cliff jumping into pools, rock scrambling and
navigating huge waterfalls. This is one of the ultimate adventures with you
versus nature.
You will then head back to the accommodation where you can have a hot shower
and freshen up for the evening of tall tales of amazing dering do, whisky,
good food and maybe a local ceilidh if we can track one down.
